Who Is She?

Do people consider using the 5 Ws to get to know a person? People want to know, but sometimes are too afraid to ask for fear of looking like they are fishing for information. Lucky for you, Bria doesn’t mind.

WHO & WHERE

Bria Glenn is 27 years old and likes to consider herself a work in progress (in all aspects). Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, she is a recent graduate of New York City College of Technology (City Tech) located in Brooklyn, New York, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Professional and Technical Writing in May 2025.

WHAT?

She has a published essay in her Alma mater’s publication, the City Tech Writer, and served as the editor of her school’s climate change blog, ClimateYou, which helped students strengthen their writing and prepare them for success to produce professional pieces.

While in undergrad, she completed three audio projects and currently serves as the editor and ¼ of the Elev8 Podcast, which focuses on Christian-led conversations from the young adult’s perspective. A favorite project of hers in interactive media is a website she created with Shorthand, which lets you build your own interactive story as a professional-looking site.

WHY?

She has always loved reading and writing since she was a child. Her interests have blossomed as she has gone through college and now into graduate school. She believes everyone has a story to tell and would love to be part of the process of getting those stories to the masses. All it takes is one story to change a person’s life, and if you have done that with your writing, you have done enough. The production process of any creative piece has always piqued her interest, so she wants to zero in on that and make a career of it.

She has always wanted to be part of the publishing world, from having a book in her hand to writing her own stories, and while that remains a long-term goal, audio production has become another career path she is interested in exploring. Beginning as something she had to do for a class in undergrad, she realized she enjoyed this craft and began to heighten her skills with the help of professors and feedback from classmates.

WHEN?

Currently, Bria’s story remains unfinished. In fact, it is just beginning. The timeline she set for herself wasn’t what was in the plans, and so now she has decided to let life unfold as it may. In this master’s program, she wishes to create not only with solo work but with her classmates.  She is excited and nervous to see this program in all its glory and the opportunities it will offer her, eventually ushering her into a career path she loves.

Although this is new territory, she is excited to gain new skills and collaborate with her peers and professors. She decided to apply to Quinnipiac’s Master’s program because of her heightened interest in new media and how people use it to communicate, share information, and teach. She wishes to help people get their art out through various outlets.
